The President of the Islamabad Estate Agent Association, Sardar Tahir Mehmood, said that the real estate sector is the second largest in Pakistan. He further added that overseas Pakistanis invest $ 4 billion USD in real estate every year. This investment can be further increased to $8 billion.
He demanded that government should reduce the tax rate and encourage overseas Pakistanis to invest in real estate. He said that currently 700000 families and 1 million are involved in the real estate business in Pakistan.
